From day-to-day musings about the journey to authorship to excerpts and community discussion and feedback, this will be a support space.

In her debut work, Esquivel describes the physics and engineering of a particle beam and uses it as a metaphor for her journey through academia as a Black, Mexican, neurodivergent, queer woman who also happens to love the ethereal elegance of physics. Hers is a deeply personal, challenging, informative, and inspiring story about the making of a scientist, and about the science that she loved, lost, and is learning to love again.
